Sid Dinerstein Makes Run for RPOF Chairman Official

In an announcement today, still floating on Republican wins that swept over Florida Nov. 2, Republican Party of Palm Beach County Chairman Sid Dinerstein officially announced his candidacy to lead the GOP at the state level.

"Our challenge is to lock in these gains and create a virtuous cycle of campaigns and victories," he said in a released statement. "Here in deep blue Palm Beach County, and across our great state, many Best Practices have percolated up. Our job is to capture, multiply, automate and distribute them to all 67 counties."

In his eight years as county chair, Dinerstein has raised more money on average than any other county Party chairman. A report shows Palm Beach Republicans have raised exactly $3 million, or $370,000 per year under Dinerstein.

"We think, for a county Party, those are blow-away numbers," said Dinerstein.

Several others have also announced, or been discussed, as possible contenders for the seat. That list includes RPOF Vice Chair Deborah Cox Roush of Hillsborough County, RPOF National Committeewoman Sharon Day of Broward County, Pinellas County Republican State Committeeman Tony DiMatteo and Sarasota County GOP Chariman Joe Gruters.
