The Senate approved two memorials Thursday that are intended to advise federal officials of the majority opinions of Floridas lawmakers.
The memorials call for Congress to:
--Honor the provisions of the Constitution of the United States and United States Supreme Court case law which limit the scope and exercise of federal power, SM 240.
--Propose to the states an amendment to the Constitution of the United States that would limit the consecutive terms of office which a member of the United States Senate or the United States House of Representatives may serve, SM 672.
The House backed a number of like-minded memorial bills late Wednesday.
