Senate Candidate Patrick Murphy Banks $2.5 Million
U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., announced on Thursday that he had raised more than $1.4 million in the second quarter of 2015 for his U.S. Senate bid and had almost $2.5 million in the banks. He also jabbed U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., his main rival for the Democratic nod who has been boosted by ads from the Club for Growth, a conservative PAC.
"Despite being attacked by conservative outside groups, Patrick significantly outraised our opponents and continued to build support across the state," said Josh Wolf, Murphy’s campaign manager said on Thursday. "While Alan Grayson and Ron DeSantis are depending on support from conservative organizations that are determined to dismantle Social Security and Medicare, Patrick is racking up support from Floridians across the state who are tired of the dysfunction in Washington."
