Scott Team Contrasts Itself to Crist Campaign

Former Gov. Charlie Crist will be opening the doors to his campaign's third and fourth field offices this weekend, but Rick Scott's campaign team says it's working well beyond the former governor's campaign accomplishments.

In a memo sent on Friday, Scott's deputy campaign manager Tim Saler said their team has a very different approach to campaigning -- one that is on the ground every day.

"We have thousands of volunteers working across Florida every day talking to their neighbors, organizing their communities, and getting Gov. Rick Scott re-elected this November," wrote Saler. "In fact, our volunteers have already knocked on over 150,000 targeted doors, an accomplishment that was not reached until mid-August in the 2012 presidential campaign.

Saler also noted Scott's campaign and the Republican Party of Florida have 24 field offices in communities all across the state, while the Crist campaign "publicly brags about how they areneglecting voters outside of South Florida as part of their master plan to overcome their structural midterm turnout deficiencies."

"Our campaign is disciplined and focused, working hard each and every day to lay the foundation for Gov. Scotts re-election this November," said Saler.
