Scott Maddox Campaigns at Farm to Fuel Summit

On Thursday, former Tallahassee Mayor Scott Maddox, the Democratic candidate to be Floridas next commissioner of agriculture and consumer services, attended the Farm to Fuel Summit in Orlando.

Florida has failed to adequately invest in our agriculture base including new technologies to help shepherd Florida agriculture into new areas such as organic farming and other sustainable practices that will keep jobs in our state while giving us a competitive advantage over oversees growers, said Maddox.

Meeting with these farmers and experts makes me extremely motivated to ensure that we do a better job at promoting and investing in agriculture that would harness new technologies to help shepherd Florida agriculture into new areas that utilize our agriculture for renewable energy and other sustainable practices that will keep jobs in our state while giving us a competitive advantage over oversees growers, added Maddox. It not only gets me excited about the future of agriculture in Florida but the job creation and the green living that it will provide for all Floridians.
