Scott Appoints Ward, Banner to Palm Beach Health Care District

Gov. Rick Scott appointed Philip H. Ward III and Nancy C. Banner to the Health Care District of Palm Beach County.

According to the release from the governor's office:

Ward, 56, of Jupiter, has been the president and managing partner of Ward Damon PA since 1987. From 1984 to 1987, he practiced with Cohen, Scherer and Cohn, and from 1980 to 1984, he was a legislative assistant to United States Sen. Warren B. Rudman of New Hampshire. He is a former chairman of the Palm Beach Business Development Board and the InternetCoast Tri-County Economic Development Council and a member and former director of The Forum Club of Palm Beach County, as well as the Economic Council of Palm Beach County. He received a bachelors degree from Dartmouth College and a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He succeeds Jonathan R. Satter, and is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 13, 2011, and ending Sept. 30, 2014.

Banner, 47, of Palm Beach Gardens, has been a real estate attorney with Nancy C. Banner PA since 2004. Previously, she served as clerk of Palm Beach County in 2003 and practiced with Holland and Knight 1999 to 2002. Her community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches since 2001 and WXELs Garnet Society since 2004. Banner holds a bachelors degree from Rutgers College, a law degree from Seton Hall Law and a masters degree in environmental sciences from Rutgers University. She succeeds Patrick J. DiSalvo, and is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 13, 2011 and ending Sept. 30, 2015.
