Scott Appoints Keiser to Enterprise Florida Board
Gov. Rick Scott appointed Belinda Keiser, the vice chancellor of Keiser University, to the board of directors of Enterprise Florida Inc., the public-private partnership devoted to statewide economic development.
According to a release from the governor's office:
"Keiser, 53, of Parkland, has been the vice chancellor of Keiser University for over 20 years.
"She is currently a member of the Government Efficiency Task Force, the Florida Chamber of Commerce board of directors, the Florida Chamber Foundation board of trustees and the 17th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. She has also been a board member of Broward Days since 2002.
"Previously, she served on the Workforce Florida Inc. board of directors from 2005 to 2010, including serving as its past chair.
"Keiser received a bachelors degree from Florida State University, a certificate in paralegal studies from Keiser College and a master of business administration from Nova Southeastern University.
"She is appointed for a term beginning Jan. 24, 2012, and ending Sept. 30, 2015.
"The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate."
