School Choice Group Applauds Andy Gardiner, Steve Crisafulli

School choice group PublicSchoolOptions.org cheered Florida Senate President Andy Gardinder, R-Orlando, and state House Speaker Steve Crisafulli, R-Merritt Island, after their remarks on education to at the AP Florida Legislative Planning Session on Wednesday. 

Martaelena Ochoa, a parent from from Tarpon Springs who is active with the group, offered kind words for the legislative leaders on Wednesday night. 

“As parents, we want every option available to us as we make decisions about our children’s education,” Ochoa said. “Many Florida parents were happy to hear that the leaders of the Florida legislature want to ensure we have options in education, and that parents really do know what’s best for their children. I hope that all of Florida’s lawmakers will follow President Gardiner and Speaker Crisafulli’s lead so that we make sure every child in Florida has the opportunity to go the school where they learn best.”
