Sarasota GOP Poll: 73 Percent Want U.S. Action Against Iran
An online survey by the Republican Party of Sarasota County finds a healthy appetite for action against Iran's alleged nuclear-weapons program.
Of the 353 respondents:
-- Eighty-seven percent think Iran is attempting to develop nuclear weapons.
-- Sixty-two percent call Iran a "very serious threat" to the United States.
-- Seventy-six percent want the Obama administration to take "a firm stand against Iranian actions."
-- Eighty-two percent do not think tougher international sanctions will get Iran to give up its nuclear program.
-- Seventy-three percent support U.S. military action to keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons.?
-- Eighty percent say the United States should support Israel if that country attacks Iran to stop Tehran.
