Sarah Palin Says No to Running in 2012
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin announced via a statement on Wednesday -- read on the Mark Levin radio show--that she will not run for the Republican presidential nomination. Palin said she could be more effective in helping common-sense conservatism on the sidelines, aiding other candidates. While there had been speculation that she would run -- and Palin left the door open to the possibility -- she had done little to set up a campaign operation in early states like Iowa, New Hampshire and Florida.
Palin has been sinking in recent polls of the Republican presidential race. A poll released by Quinnipiac University earlier on Wednesday found the former Alaska governor in single digits -- the lowest she pulled in the Q-poll during 2011.
