Sandy Adams Backs Karen Harrington to Challenge Debbie Wasserman Schultz

U.S. Rep. Sandy Adams, already engaged in a contentious Republican primary fight against U.S. Rep. John Mica, announced on Monday she is backing restaurant owner Karen Harrington in the Republican primary to challenge U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.

"Karen Harrington is the clear choice to help get South Florida voters back to work and our economy moving again, Adams said in a statement. Karen has the type of grassroots work ethic and small-business experience necessary to bring her friends' and neighbors' desires for change to Washington, D.C. I look forward to having another strong female conservative in the Florida delegation and working with her to fix what is broken in Congress."
