Run DNC: Summer Heats Up Early With Urban Violence Along East Coast

Miami wasn't the only riot-torn town over the weekend. Similar "urban" violence broke out in Myrtle Beach, S.C., during Black Bike Week and in two Charlottes -- North Carolina and New York.

The simmering situation in Uptown Charlotte has gotten the attention of the Democratic National Committee, which is concerned that ongoing problems in North Carolina's largest city could blemish the party's 2012 convention there.
