Rubio Trying to Capitalize On Charlie Crists' Potential GOP Departure

U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio is hoping to capitalize on Gov. Charlie Crist's apparent party affiliation switch. Hiscampaign launched a Web site hoping get 2,400 donors by April 26.

From the site:

"After 24 years of perpetual campaigning as a Republican then governing as anything but, Charlie Crist is now set to abandon the GOP altogether AND the limited government principles we stand for.
"So help us reach our goal of recruiting 100 donors for each of the 24 years he used the GOP to get elected.
"The deadline is April 26th, so when Charlie switches, we'll be ready."

Oh, and Rubio's still getting some mileage out of that Crist-Obama imagery from last year, when the governor showed he supported the federal stimulus.
