Rubio Running Ahead, Embarks on Bus Tour This Week
Marco Rubio, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, is running way ahead of independent Gov. Charlie Crist and Democrat U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek in the latest polls, but he is not getting complacent.
Rubio heads out Wedneday night on a whirlwind tour of Florida, making 11 stops in four days. The tour includes starts in Orlando and includes stops in Jacksonville, New Smyrna Beach, The Villages, Dade City, St. Petersburg, Riverview, Punta Gorda, Naples, Broward County, and ends in Miami on Saturday. Not all events have been finalized but those interested can find out more on Rubio's campaign website.
This bus tour is a continuation of my conversation with Florida voters about the need to restore our countrys key principles of economic growth and fiscal restraint, Rubio said. As Floridians have begun casting their absentee ballots and early voting approaches, I look forward to continuing the momentum of this campaign at each of these stops over the next few days.
