Rubio Hits the Airwaves in Iowa and Colo. for GOP Senate Candidates
U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is hitting the airwaves in two states holding competitive U.S. Senate races as the GOP looks to wrest control from the Democrats.
Using his Reclaim America PAC, Rubio is running a TV ad in Iowa supporting Joni Ernst, the Republican looking to win the seat held by retiring U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa. Rubio has left the door open to running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016 and Iowa holds the first caucus that kicks off the procession of states that determine the presidential nominee.
Rubio is also running an ad in Colorado for U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., the Republican candidate looking to defeat U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo.
These ads are up when it counts the most, Rubio emailed supporters on Thursday. Joni and Cory are in tight races against their well-funded opponents and we need to make sure that voters know they are the best individuals to represent them in the United States Senate.
