RPOF Teams with Red Cross for Isaac Relief

The Republican Party of Florida is partnering with the American Red Cross to help provide assistance to potential victims of Isaac, both in Florida and in neighboring Gulf states, a release from the governors office stated.

"Over the last couple of days, I've been contacted by many Florida delegates who have asked what they can do to help. At the same time, I have been reaching out to local, state and national leaders to ensure that all resources are in place and available to meet storm-related needs. By forging this partnership, the RPOF will help the Red Cross capitalize on the wide exposure of the convention. Reaching out to a national audience will give us the opportunity to provide much-needed relief to those likely affected by Isaac in the coming days," Gov. Rick Scott stated in a release.

"Today, we are not only encouraging Floridians to help their fellow Floridians, but for all Americans to come together across party lines during a time of need. This storm is likely to impact several states and the quicker we support relief efforts, the quicker needs can be met. I urge everyone to visit rpof.org, follow the link to the Red Cross website and make a donation today."

Those interested in donating should visit rpof.org for a direct link to the Red Cross donation page.

"We are happy to be working with the Red Cross to help mitigate the impact of this storm. I thank RNC Chairman Reince Priebus for helping us promote this partnership and joining us in encouraging all convention visitors, and those watching from home, to make a contribution," RPOF Chairman Lenny Curry stated in a release.

"Bringing national attention to this issue is the least we can do for our fellow Floridians and the other states that Isaac may strike."
