RPOF Looks to Connect Bill Nelson to Obama's Budget
Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson ranks as one of the GOPs top targets come 2012 and the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) is looking to link him to the $3.7 trillion federal budget that President Barack Obama proposed on Monday.
Todays budget proposal proves that President Obama is once again ignoring the people, said Trey Stapleton, a spokesman for the RPOF. The question on the minds of Floridians is who Senator Nelson will be listening to when it comes time to vote on the budget. Will he vote the party line like a typical Washington politician? Or will he listen to the people of Florida who sent a clear message this past election cycle that they want fewer taxes, less spending and greater fiscal responsibility.
