RPOF Continues to Lay Into Debbie Wasserman Schultz

The Republican Party of Florida has continued to fire back at U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., after she attacked Gov. Rick Scott for standing in the way of implementing Obamacare. This time, RPOF Press Secretary Susan Hepworth is stepping up to bat to speak out against Wasserman Schultz.

"Earlier today, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz held a press conference to discuss how the sequester cuts have hurt children and seniors. Butwhy was she silent when it came to the critical National Guard furloughs?" said Hepworth in an email. "Just like Senator Nelson, she had the opportunity to take the issue straight to the president in order to protect Floridas military families and ensure our states emergency preparedness was not compromised, but didnt.Thankfully, the president finally took Governor Scotts lead and ended furloughs through the end of this fiscal year. Can we count on Congresswoman Schultz to make sure National Guard furloughs dont go back into effect on Oct. 1st?"

Hepworth then invited Floridians to call Wasserman Schultz and ask her if she will step forward to protect the National Guard. She also asked Floridians to use the following statement when speaking to Wasserman Schultz:

Once again, Congresswoman Schultz is late to this party. Just like her colleague in the Senate, Bill Nelson, and friend in the White House, Barack Obama, she has failed to act on the harmful sequester cuts that have affected her own constituents in Florida. When the National Guard pay cuts go back into effect Oct. 1, will Schultz and Nelson stay quiet on this critical issue just like they did before? Or will they follow Governor Scotts lead and call for an end to the harmful cuts?
