RPOF Chairman: Obama Will Hurt Hillary Clinton in Florida

Blaise IngogliaState Rep. Blaise Ingoglia, R-Spring Hill, the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), pointed at a poll from Quinnipiac University which shows President Barack Obama is upside down in Florida, saying it was bad news for Democrats.

Ingoglia insisted that Florida turning against Obama, who had carried the Sunshine State in both 2008 and 2012, will hurt former U.S. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, the favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination, in next year’s general election.

“While Hillary Clinton and her campaign attempt to brand their policies as new and different from the last six years of President Obama, the reality is that Florida voters are eager for a change from the old, failed Democrat polices that have resulted in a stagnant economy and less opportunity for hardworking Floridians,” Ingoglia said on Monday. “That is why our state party is committed to holding Democrats accountable on their record and platform through our grassroots and social media operations.”
