RPOF Banging the Drums to Get the Vote Out

The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) weighed in Tuesday on its efforts to get the vote out on Election Day. The RPOF announced that it has reached out to almost 165,000 voters as volunteers man the phone banks.

This incredible volunteer grass-roots effort is the latest sign of Florida Republicans enthusiasm, and the strong grass-roots infrastructure the Republican Party of Florida has amassed before the November election, said Ronnie Whitaker, executive director of the RPOF. With great candidates like Marco Rubio and Rick Scott, Florida Republicans are eager to attend rallies, walk door-to-door, call voters, and do all that it takes to ensure high turnout this November.

The most calls were made in Sarasota County, followed by Manatee, Orange, Duval and Alachua counties.

Sarasota County is lucky to have some of the most active and engaged volunteers in the state of Florida, wrote Republican Party of Sarasota County Chairman Joe Gruters to supporters on Tuesday. Fifty-eight incredible Americans walked through the doors of our headquarters and donated their time and effort this past Saturday. Instead of spending their Saturday sitting on the beach and enjoying their day off, they came in and reached out to Sarasota residents one by one to help ensure the greatest Republican turnout possible for this year's election.

Our country is clearly at a crossroads and I believe that this year's election will be one of the most important elections during my generation, added Gruters. The results of November's election will help decide not only which party is in control of our government, but the country that we leave for our children and grandchildren.

While it's easy to worry about the current state of our country, state, and local community, there is something incredible going on in our community worth mentioning, continued Gruters, whose name is being kicked around to replace Sen. John Thrahser of Jacksonville as chairman of the RPOF. If you take Saturday's amazing show of volunteerism and couple it with the record of attendance at the recent events hosted by the Republican Party of Sarasota County, the message is clear: Americans are concerned and they are willing to donate their time and effort in order to help put America back on the right tracks.
