RPOF: Alex Sink Should Stand with Nan Rich

As of Monday, Nan Rich is the only Democrat who's officially entered the 2014 governor's race, and the Republican Party of Florida wants to know why former gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink isn't standing by her fellow Democrat.

In a statement released Monday, the RPOF attacked both Sink and Rich for their "misguided values" and attacks on Gov. Rick Scott.

"It's not surprising that liberal soul mates Alex Sink and Nan Rich think that Rick Scott's successful economic record and proposals for tax cuts that will help Florida's middle class are 'appalling,'" said RPOF Chairman Lenny Curry. "They should refocus their efforts on Charlie Crist who has attacked Democrats for opposing tax cuts and has a disaster of an economic record."

Last week, Rich called Scott's proposed $500 million tax cut "appalling"and on Friday, Alex Sink said she was "appalled" at Scott's economic leadership.

It is widely believed that former governor Charlie Crist is getting ready to throw his name into the ring for the governor's race, and polls show Crist has a good shot at beating Scott in the 2014 race.
