Roy Moore 2012? Defender of Ten Commandments Headed to Iowa
Judge Roy Moore --who previously served as the chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court before being removed due to his refusal to follow a federal judges order to take away a monument of the Ten Commandments from a state courthouse -- is headed to Iowa, the site of the first presidential caucus.
While Moores name has generated buzz about a possible presidential bid before, he is going to Iowa to help opponents of three members of that states Supreme Court who backed giving marriage rights to same-sex couples.
Moore, now serving aspresident for the Foundation for Moral Law, will be in Oskaloosa on Saturday, Sioux City and Jefferson on Sunday, and Des Moines on Monday. He twice ran for governor of Alabama but lost both times in the Republican primaries.
