Ron Paul Falls in Line Behind Ken Cuccinelli

Recent polls have shown Robert Sarvis, the Libertarian candidate, could break double digits in the Virginia gubernatorial race. But Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, the Republican nominee, scored a major endorsement which could burst Sarvis bubble as former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas backed the GOPs candidate. Paul ran for the presidency twice as a Republican and was the Libertarian nominee in 1988.

Ken Cuccinelli has always stood for smaller government and limited government; he has consistently and unapologetically worked with the Liberty movement in Virginia, Paul wrote in a letter backing the Republican on Friday. His stand against Obamacare shows he is willing to stand up to Washingtons continued abuses on our individual liberties. I am proud to endorse Ken for governor of Virginia.

Polls show Democrat Terry McAuliffe with a healthy lead over Cuccinelli.
