Ron Paul Continues to Build in Iowa

Having placed a strong second in the Iowa Republican straw poll, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas continues to build in the Hawkeye State, which will hold the first presidential caucus. Paul toured Clinton, Dubuque and Muscatine on Tuesday and his campaign pointed to the fact that all of the events brought out more than 150 supporters each.

With each visit to Iowa, Ron Paul attracts large crowds of supporters whose interest in his candidacy is intensifying, said Drew Ivers, Pauls Iowa chairman. At the town hall meetings, Iowans appreciated Dr. Pauls knowledge of the issues, his candor and the gracious manner in which he tries to greet as many voters as possible."

These numbers are evidence of something special happening in Iowa and America, and they are proof of Dr. Pauls steadily rising competitiveness, said David Fischer, Pauls vice-chairman in the state.
