Ron Paul Beats Jon Huntsman for Second in New Hampshire

Having placed third in Iowa, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas won the silver in New Hampshire. With 18 percent of the votes counted, Paul took 25 percent of the vote -- placing him well behind former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts but ahead of the other candidates. With 17 percent, former Gov. Jon Huntsman of Utah took third. Huntsman focused on New Hampshire, ignoring Iowa.

Paul and Huntsman both plan to head to South Carolina, which will hold its primary on Jan. 21. Paul will have a rally in Columbia on Wednesday while Huntsman also insisted that he will compete in the Palmetto State.

We go south from here, Huntsman told CNN on Tuesday night.
