Ron Paul Backers Launching Rock Concert Tour
Its probably not at the level of the Rat Pack performing for John F. Kennedys presidential campaign but rock bands will be crossing the country in support of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, the Texas congressman making his second bid for the Republican nomination. They are dubbing it the "Rock the Revolution" tour. Libertarians backing Paul can be heartened by one of the band names -- Rothbard, a clear tribute to the iconic Austrian school economist Murray Rothbard. Another band is named after Rollie Fingers, a Hall of Fame baseball player remembered for his mustache as well as his appearances closing out games.
Theres a quote from Paul on the website -- I always knew that if you were going to have a revolution you needed two things: young people and music, and it appears the rock tour will be making something akin to campaign appearances based on their concert schedule. Both Iowa and New Hampshire will be seeing a good deal of Rothbard, Rollie Fingers and the rest of the bands and speakers.
