Ron Paul and Herman Cain Subjected to Mickey Mouse Attacks From Florida Dems
Having lost every single statewide race, four congressional seats and seats in the Legislature in 2010, theres a temptation to say the Florida Democratic Party engages in Mickey Mouse politics.
Apparently Florida Democratic Chairman Rod Smith agrees, since he brought on more than his share of Disney references on Saturday.
Vice President Joe Biden and other Democrats bashed two Republican presidential hopefuls -- former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts and Gov. Rick Perry of Texas -- on Friday night. They took aim at two more -- U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas and businessman Herman Cain -- on Saturday.
Smith spoke at his partys state convention on Saturday at Walt Disney World, and made a reference to Paul from Disneys first animated full length film. Comparing the GOP field to the Seven Dwarves, Smith labeled Paul as Grumpy due to his comments about health care in one of the Republican debates.
The Democratic leader compared businessman Herman Cain to the Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hoods nemesis. Smith said that Cains 9-9-9 plan was the most regressive economic plan since the sheriffs regressive tax policy.
Smith wasnt done with Cains plan. It must have been a special on the Godfathers Pizza menu, speculated Smith on how Cain came up with the name for his plan.
