Ron DeSantis Wants to Hold Hillary Clinton 'Accountable' for Emails

U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., took aim at former U.S. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton for using private servers and email for classified matters. 

DeSantis, who is running for the U.S. Senate in 2016, jabbed Clinton who is running for the Democratic presidential nomination in an essay published in the Conservative Review. 

“Many Americans have come to expect this type of behavior from Washington,” DeSantis wrote. “A system in which the political elites are not held accountable for conduct that would land the average citizen in prison is a rotten system – and one that is far different from the type of republican government envisioned by the Founding Fathers.
 
“Nobody is above the law, including Secretary Clinton,” DeSantis added. “She needs to be held accountable for her mishandling of classified information and her attempts to stonewall a congressional investigation.”
