Romney, Pawlenty, Santorum Set to Speak at CPAC Florida Meeting

With Mitt Romney taking a pass on Florida's Presidency 5 straw poll, Tim Pawlenty will try to one-up the former Massachusetts governor on the CPAC stage during P5.

"CPAC has played a pivotal role in energizing the national Republican Party, and I and my fellow Floridians are proud to host the first regional CPAC here in the Sunshine State," said Florida Rep. Will Weatherford, who has endorsed the former Minnesota governor, whose poll ratings remains stuck in single digits nationally.

CPAC, sponsored by the American Conservative Union, will be held Sept. 23 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Most, if not all, of the GOP presidential hopefuls are expected to be on hand, since Fox News will host a debate on Sept. 22 and the P5 straw poll will be conducted Sept. 24.

While Romney reiterated this week that he will not participate in the P5 poll, he is slated to address CPAC. Other confirmed CPAC speakers are: presidential candidate Rick Santorum, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio and ACU Chariman Al Cardenas.
