Rob Siedlecki Off to Serve in Kansas Under Sam Brownback

Rob Siedlecki is headed to Kansas.

Siedlecki, the former chief of staff in the Department of Health, was selected by Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, probably best known for his time in the U.S. Senate and his brief bid for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, as the new secretary of the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) pending legislative approval.

As SRS secretary, Rob Siedlecki brings a unique combination of working with the same federal programs that SRS implements in our state and supervising a large staff and budget, said Brownback. He understands the severe budget challenges Kansas faces. He will work to improve the delivery of our health services programs to our states most vulnerable in a cost-effective way.

I look forward to working beside the hard-working professionals at SRS as well as Governor Brownback and Lieutenant Covernor-elect Colyer as we strive to improve the well-being of children and families in Kansas, said Siedlecki.
