RNC Attacks Obama in New Radio Ad Hitting Florida and Other States

The Republican National Committee (RNC) looked to get ahead of President Barack Obamas speech on jobs on Thursday by releasing a radio ad in Florida and seven other states. The ad is being run in states that Obama won in 2008 but that Republicans think they can pick up in 2012 --they are Colorado, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Based on the past two and a half years, it is difficult to expect anything different from this president in Thursdays speech, said Reince Priebus, the chairman of the RNC, on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it appears he plans to recycle the same old failed policies and blame game that weve seen repeatedly. As his approval rating plummets, the president is once again claiming to pivot to jobs. Unfortunately this is too little too late. His summer schedule was chocked-full of campaign fundraisers, taxpayer-funded bus tours, golf outings and a luxury vacation to Marthas Vineyard. This president has been twiddling his thumbs and, as a result, zero jobs were added in August. Despite his failed leadership, he is now blaming everyone but himself for the economy. Already in full campaign mode, expect to see more finger-pointing from this president who adamantly refuses to lead.

The ad references Ronald Reagans iconic campaign slogan from 1984, insisting that its morning again in America.

Its morning again in America, the announcer says in the ad. Is Barack Obama finally waking up? After a 10-day luxury vacation on Marthas Vineyard, the president says hell finally get serious about jobs. But weve heard this before. After his $825 billion stimulus debacle and after his $2.5 trillion government-run health care plan now again, after our national credit has been downgraded.

But what can we expect from Obamas new stimulus plan? continues the announcer. More spending. Weve already tried that, causing unemployment to shoot up and our deficit to balloon. In fact, before this ad is done, our debt will have grown by an additional $2.5 million. Enough is enough lets change direction.
