Rick Scott Will Speak at CPAC Florida Event

The American Conservative Union (ACU) announced that Gov. Rick Scott and Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll will be heading to Orlando to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) meeting on Friday, Sept. 23.

In less than a year on the job, Rick Scott has made good on his promises to Floridians: lowering taxes, reducing government spending and promoting economic development in the Sunshine State, said Al Cardenas, the chairman of the ACU and a former chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, in a statement released on Tuesday.

Cardenas went on to praise Scott -- and contrast him with President Barack Obama. Under the leadership of Governor Rick Scott and Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll, Florida is implementing pro-growth policies to accelerate job creation, standing in stark contrast to President Obamas liberal agenda one that has failed our economy and our country, added Cardenas. The ACU is honored to host our first regional CPAC in the critical state of Florida and highlight the states conservative leaders.
