Democrat Charlie Crist makes his bid for Florida's 13th Congressional District official and just like that -- same day as the announcement -- opportunity anew to make a pile of money.

For the REPUBLICANS.

Gov. Rick Scott wasted no time in pouring on the ridicule, recanting Charlie's tale of woe over the last 10 years and asking supporters to celebrate the former governor's candidacy by donating to "the only official organization dedicated to beating" him.

Here's the full text of Scott's fundraiser email, released Tuesday afternoon under the subject line "Important":

He’s at it again.

Our state’s biggest political opportunist, Charlie Crist, announced his candidacy for Florida’s 13th Congressional District today.

You’d think after voters rejected Charlie in 2010 for Senate and in 2014 for Governor, that he’d get the message, but not Charlie...He’s just for himself.

That’s why I hope you will help my friends at the NRCC right now. They are the sole organization dedicated to stopping political opportunists like Charlie Crist from getting elected to Congress.

Under Charlie Crist’s failed leadership, Florida lost nearly 8OO,OOO jobs and unemployment surged. This is not the type of representation we need in Washington.

Floridians can’t handle having Charlie at the helm again. We need an honest person who stands firm on their conservative values to represent us.
