Rick Scott Speaking at Federalist Society’s Lawyers Convention

Gov. Rick Scott will be one of the Friday speakers during the Federalist Society's 2012 National Lawyers Convention in Washington, D.C.

The three-day event titled The Future of U.S. Constitutional Law in the Supreme Court is being held at the Mayflower Hotel. The event features a number of panel discussions on topics ranging from case law to judicial activism.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is to address the dinner crowd on Thursday and Justice Antonin Scalia will give the closing remarks on Saturday.

A half-hour has been blocked for Scott starting at 2:45 p.m. Friday.He is to follow U.S. Sen.-elect Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
