Rick Scott to Sign Human Trafficking Laws at Kristi House

Gov. Rick Scott will be at Kristi House in Miami this afternoon to sign a pair of bills aimed at combating human trafficking.

House Bill 99 provides short-term safe houses for sexually exploited children.

House Bill 7094 increases penalties for trafficking and gives law enforcement agencies the ability to request warrants to "intercept oral and electronic communications" related to human trafficking investigations.
