Rick Scott Showcases Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday
At an event in West Palm Beach with the Office Depot Foundation to provide parents with free school supplies, Gov. Rick Scott showcased the 10-day back-to-school sales tax holiday which starts on Friday.
“A great education is the best way to prepare for a great job and that is why we will continue to do all we can to support our teachers and students,” Scott said on Monday. “In addition to our record funding for K-12 public schools, we also included a 10-day back-to-school sales tax holiday which will allow Florida families to prepare for school to start and save money on supplies.”
Starting on Friday, there will be no sales tax on clothes, shoes and bags $100 and less, school supplies up to $15 and the first $750 of personal computers.
