Rick Scott Orders Flags Lowered for Specialist Junot M.L. Cochilus

Gov. Rick Scott has ordered state and national flags lowered to half-staff outside the County Courthouse of Duval County, City Hall of Jacksonville and state Capitol in Tallahassee for U.S. Army Specialist Junot M.L. Cochilus.

Cochilus died from injuries caused by an improvised explosive device on May 2 in Logar Province, Afghanistan.Cochilus was assigned to the 630th Engineer Company, 7th Engineer Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.

Services for Specialist Cochilus will be held on Saturday at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
