
Rick Scott Orders Flags at Half-Staff to Honor Victims of San Bernardino Shootings
On Thursday afternoon, responding to the mass shootings in San Bernardino, California, Gov. Rick Scott ordered flags across Florida to be flown at half-staff until sunset on Monday.
“In honor and remembrance of the victims of the San Bernardino, California, shooting and pursuant to a presidential proclamation, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the state of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local, state, and federal buildings, installations, and grounds throughout the state of Florid,” Scott ordered. “The flags shall be lowered immediately and remain at half-staff until sunset, Monday, December 7, 2015.
“Please note that this lowering of the flags will coincide with the lowering of the flags on Monday in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day,” Scott added.
