Rick Scott Names Two Economic Transition Teams

Incoming Gov. Rick Scott named two transition teams on Monday afternoon -- both of which focus on the states struggling economy.

Scott named his Economic Development Transition Team, which will be led by Wayne Huizenga Jr. as chairman.

Other familiar names include Anthony Connelly, the CFO of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts; Allen Douglas of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB); Bill Johnson of the Port of Miami; a pair of college presidents in John Hitt of the University of Central Florida and Bernie Machen of the University of Florida; Susan Story, president and CEO of the Gulf Power Company; Mayor Gow Fields of Lakeland; Karen Diebel; and Doug Callaway of Floridians for Better Transportation.

Scott also named his Regulatory Reform Transition Team with chairman Chris Coor of AECOM. Members include Stephen Joost, the CEO of Firehouse Subs; Peter Corrigan, the president of Florida Family Insurance Company; FSU football legend Peter Boulware who ran for a House seat in 2008 as a Republican; Ken Wilson of Gate Petroleum; and Chris Buckley of the Everglades Foundation.
