Rick Scott to Meet With Seminole Tribe to Discuss Gaming Compact

Gov. Rick Scott will head to South Florida to meet with the Seminole Indian Tribe Monday.

Scott will talk with the tribe about the economic impact and job opportunities the gaming compact will have on Florida in Hollywood.

The Seminole Tribe would be allowed to add craps and roulette to their casinos under the compact, so long as it guarantees $3 billion to the state over the next seven years.

Scott signed the $3 billion compact in December, but it can't go into effect until the Florida Legislature approves it. So far, state lawmakers haven't been quick to embrace the compact.
