Rick Scott to Kick Off Statewide Tax Cut Tour

Gov. Rick Scott will be hitting the road to kick off a statewide tax cut tour Monday to highlight a $1 billion tax cut package for Floridians. 

The tax cut package includes eliminating income tax on retail and manufacturing businesses, which Scott's office says will reduce costs by $770 million and attract more businesses to the state. 

The tax cut package will also eliminate taxes on manufacturing machinery and equipment. 

Other tax cuts include a 10-day back-to-school holiday as well as a nine-day hurricane preparedness holiday. 

The tour will make stops in Melbourne, Tampa, Miami, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Jacksonville and Panama City.
