Rick Scott Honors Companies Employing Disabled Floridians

On Wednesday, Gov. Rick Scott honored businesses which are committed to employing the disabled.

"These businesses have done an incredible job in providing jobs and opportunities for individuals with disabilities, Scott said. We have to support families efforts to find jobs for their loved ones, and thats why my Florida Families First Budget invested $500,000 to provide job training skills for individuals with disabilities.

The governor also pointed to an executive order he issued on Tuesday night. This is also why I issued an executive order to support state agency efforts to improve employment outcomes for persons with disabilities in the Sunshine State, Scott said.

Scott honored Becks Automotive Group of Palatka; Express Employment Professionals of Pensacola; McDonalds Restaurants; Sykes Enterprises Inc. of Lakeland; TJX Companies; Wendys Restaurants (JAA Restaurant Holdings LLC) of Boca Raton; and Winn Dixie /BILo Corp.

Scott will present these companies the Governors Business Ambassador award at the Florida Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
