Rick Scott Camp Hesitating to Claim Victory

A spokesperson for the Scott campaign says Alex Sink's claim of hundreds of thousands of votes left to count is improbable. While they don't have a firm grasp on the numbers quite yet, they say it is looking very favorable for them.

What they do know is that as of about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, they were ahead by around 73,000 votes.

There are still about 21,800 absentee votes that haven't been counted in the state. Palm Beach County is also lagging in reporting with 53 precincts still unknown. Brian Burgess, a spokesperson for the Scott campaign, says they don't know exactly how many votes there are in those precincts, but they're doubtful that it's in the range of hundreds of thousands for Alex Sink.
