Rick Scott Calls for Legislature to Pass Arizona-Style Immigration Law During Special Session

Rick Scott, the front-runner for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, released a new radio ad, calling on the Legislature to pass an immigration reform measure during nextweek's special session, like the one backed by Arizona.

Governor Crist has called a special session of the Legislature. And, of course, Florida taxpayers are on the hook to pay for it, said Scott in the ad. So as long as we are paying them anyway, heres something useful our legislators could do: Bring the Arizona immigration law here to Florida --now. Pass it in the special session.

It was too much for a lot of liberals to read before they opposed it, continued Scott. But, the Arizona law is just a few pages long. Its not complicated because its just common sense.
