Rick Scott: Brazilian Coffee Entrepreneurs to Bring 75 Jobs to Palm Beach
Gov. Rick Scott announced a joint venture Monday between Palm Beach and Brazilian entrepreneurs Luis Claudio Goldner and Alfredo Sampaio Caruso that involves a capital investment of $25 million, the lease of a 45,000-square-foot facility at the Port of Palm Beach and a plan to launch Americas Natural Caffeine LLC.
The project is expected to produce a total of 75 jobs paying an average $62,000 a year, with 25 jobs in year No. 1, then ramping up to the full 75 jobs by year No. 3.The state will not provide any incentive package.
Planning to meet the increased demand throughout the United States for organic products, the managing partners and investors of Americas Natural Caffeine are planning to open a manufacturing facility in Palm Beach to produce a natural caffeine food supplement derived from a Brazilian fruit called guarana. It's a supplement that will be sold to the food and beverage, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
Its exciting that Florida is attracting international business ventures solely on the basis of the economic opportunity our state represents, Scott said in a statement. This announcement is further evidence that our state is ready to compete on an international stage. I will do all I can to ensure Americas Natural Caffeine and all Floridas businesses have every opportunity for success.
