Rick Scott Announces Saltwater License-Free Fishing Day Saturday

On Tuesday, Gov. Rick Scott and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that Saturday, Oct. 12, will be a saltwater license-free fishing day.

License-free days serve as a great opportunity for families to enjoy the incredible fishing opportunities that Florida has to offer, Scott said. This Saturday, families will have even more of an opportunity to head to the coast, enjoy time with their loved ones and catch some fish.

There will be three additional license-free fishing days in the weeks to come. Saltwater fishers will not need a license on Nov. 30, while freshwater fishers will not need a license on Nov. 29 and Dec. 28.
