
Rick Scott Announces Cyalume Technologies Holdings Relocating to Fort Lauderdale
Gov. Rick Scott announced Tuesday that Cyalume Technologies Holdings Inc. will be relocating its headquarters from West Springfield, Mass., to a new facility in Fort Lauderdale.
The relocation will create 25 jobs that will pay more than $86,000.
Cyalumes decision to relocate to Fort Lauderdale is great news for Florida families," began Scott. "I recently sent letters to company leaders in Massachusetts encouraging them to look at Florida as a business destination and letting them know ITS WORKING in Florida. Our pro-business climate is ranked fifth in the country, and our unemployment rate is the lowest its been in nearly five years. Florida is the best state in the nation to live, work and raise a family.
Cyalume designs and manufactures nonpyrotechnic tactical products and training solution for militaries and law enforcement agencies, according to a press release from Gov. Scott's office. The company also produces products for certain safety markets.
This decision reflects Cyalumes commitment to long-term global growth, said President and CEO Zivi Nedivi.
