Rick Scott and Rick Perry Follow Same Game Plan and Ignore Newspaper Boards

Rick Scott was not alone in ignoring editorial boards and shrugging off questions about whether or not newspapers backed his opponent.

Mark McKinnon of the Daily Beast shows how Republican Gov. Rick Perry of Texas did the same thing -- and won by an even bigger margin. While McKinnon does not note that Scott did the same thing, he offers an interesting take on why politicians feel free to ignore the media, and why it often pays political dividends.
