Rick Scott: Amazon.com Adding 2,000 New Jobs in Florida

Gov. Rick Scott announced on Monday that Amazon.com was expanding its operations in Lakeland and Ruskin, creating 2,000 new jobs in fulfillment centers.

“I am excited to announce that Amazon is expanding in Florida and adding more than 2,000 new jobs, which will more than double their current Florida workforce in less than a year,” Scott said on Monday. “We have worked hard to create a pro-business environment that encourages growth and innovation so companies like Amazon can succeed. ”
