Rick Santorum Turns Movie Mogul

Rick Santorum going Hollywood? Well, not exactly, though the former senator from Pennsylvania and Republican presidential hopeful is taking over as CEO of EchoLight Studios which makes movies for Christian families.

"This is the right place and right time, and I've jumped in with both feet," Santorum said. "I often say that culture is upstream from politics, and I know entertainment also can be strength and light for people who want to be uplifted and reinforced in their values."

With EchoLight based in Dallas, Santorum said the Big D is poised to help shape entertainment appealing to faith-based audiences.

"Dallas can become the Hollywood of the faith-and-family movie market, Santorum said. And the keys are great content and economic success using money from all over to build out the industry and distribute an authentic product truthful to the faith in people's lives."

Still, with Santorum expected to run again for president in 2016, he is showing no signs of bowing out of politics. He will continue to remain active with his Patriot Voices PAC.
